Evening guys,
Update on my project.
I haven’t straightened the frame as of yet. Will do that soon enough.
The engine is back together and on the frame. Here are a few pics.

Not sure where you are in the world but that weather sure beats the conditions I've been working in recently pulling my ex military 2a to bits.Hope your chassis repairs go smoothly.Mine was totally shot so am going to fit a new galv one.Keep the pics coming

I’m in Kansas,
Winter is unusually warm and this is the second year of a drought. It killed the hunting season but now I have time to finish this thing up.
My Synchro has two broken posts on one side. Has anyone every drilled/tapped them and bolted them back together? Good luck on that frame swap nathanglasgow

Fixable or replace?
Can I drill and tap these two posts out and maybe bolt it back?

Never seen one do that!

The synchro bit is worn out anyway. It should have sharp-edged radial fine grooves round the circumference to cut through the oil film and get some grip on the polished cone on the adjacent gear to get the gear up to speed before meshing. As the bronze blocks look solid - they've worn away years ago.

As for repair - I'd say no unless you enjoy removing, stripping and re-assembling gearboxes. The posts would be a very tight fit in the synchro cone bit - and as the dowelled bits have broken off your chances of a successful repair would seem very slim.

Those brake drums in the third pic might be a bit big for the landy

Ok so I’ve got the O/D rebuilt and trany all rdy to go back together.
I have my gear box apart and the main shaft stripped. I see two pins in the shaft, one for the bush and the other for the thrust washer. The thrust washer has two notches in it for the smaller pin to line up with. Not sure if it matters which notch to use. The pin for the Thrust washer was missing and I assume it’s been missing for quite some time but seemed to work fine without it. I found a small pin in the in the bottom of the oil pan but when I inserted it in the hole it pushed all the way in and is now flush with the surface of the shaft. I can’t get the darn thing out.
I now realized it was a pin from one of the other flat bearings.
Is this pin absolutely necessary?
Any advice would be appreciated
