channel 10 it is.. min arrived today.. as did my recovery strap and D ring thingies.. the antenna is fitted already and am chasing the wires through so need to pop out and get a longer bit of cable when someone gets here to look after the littleun..

I am fitting it on the map holder thingy behind the sun visor above me head.. anyone have any thoughts on whether it will actually stay up there or end up falling on top of me first bump?

Shouldn't worry too much about recovery gear - nothing THAT challenging tomorrow.

You must have a real slim CB to fit it in that gap. :eek:

Remember you have underslung LPG tanks on standard height suspension and standard tyres - plan your route over tree roots and watch out for big holes!! ;)

Might be wise for one of us to carry a spare can of diesel though.
(For fflump and Pikey - they might need it) :D :p
 
I was gonna hang it off the plastic thing rather than fit it in the gap :D :D ... have donee the bounce up and down test and my head misses it by a good few inches but not sure if the plastic will take the weight.. gonna rig up a spreader bar behind it I think - better safe than with a cb unit buried in my skull.... daughter offloaded so getting on with it now...

I'm all loaded up, tanked up and ready to go.
Complete with a brand new set of Special Tracs.
Will be setting off at 06:30 tomorrow.

Wow, what a great day that was and really good to meet everyone. We should start a new fred for the event pics!

Really well organised, it went like clockwork and i even learnt a new meaning for "Turn Right"...yes, it's "Turn Left"!!! And as for getting stuck, Ratty that was SPECTACOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLAR!!! Me uncle got a good vid of the recovery just in case anyone hasn't been told all about it!!!!
