Hi all, any advice or suggestions as to cause would be most appreciated.
Range Rover Sport 2.7 tdv6 would not start... seemed to be slivers of metal in diesel at injectors so New injector pump fitted, injectors refurbed and all refitted... but car will not start. Have .5 bar fuel pressure at fuel rail. Using Snap-On Solus getting following codes: p0091 fuel pressure regulator circuit low; p0003 fuel volume control circuit low. and B/C code 57 - Passive start relay coil circuit. !
Does seem to be sending fuel to injectors and/or they are not getting signal to fire/open. ??? I dont have access to LR Diagnostics
Cheers
Jim.

Did bit more checkingb today... fuel to injectors ok but they are not getting signal from ECU to fire... other than the ECU is there a sensor or relay which would cause this fault ?

The ecu will need to see a minimum pressure at the rail before it will work injectors, probably something like 150 bar or there abouts during cranking, have you checked your i tank pump?

in case you haven't sorted this....

at a guess i'd say your injection pump is air locked and needs priming, i had a similar problem with a TD4 freelander2 a couple of weeks ago where someone had changed the fuel filter and not filled it before fitting, they then started the engine and it cut out within seconds and refused to restart until i'd filled the filter and manually primed the injector pump

a lot of faffing about for what "should" be a simple job :frown:

and as Dove intimates .5 bar is literally nothing, the TD4 ticks over at an average of 250bar, blip the throttle and that number will double
