Hey all I'm thinking of getting a land rover 90 I was going to sell my car till someone offerd a deal. A swap land rover 90 for car.

What would a rough value of a (b) reg think that's 1983 90 defender converted 3.9 v8 auto be worth it has roll cage, fuel tank in the back, rough paint job 24 spline axles split doors tree sliders ( seal and door )

Just not too sure on the value I rearly want to have a go at off roading but for just incase I don't like it I'd like to know a value of the 90 to see if the deal is worth going ahead with ??

Look on EBay in 'completed listing' to see if there is something of similar age and condition, that will give you a idea of rough market vakue

£2-3k? But you'd need to see quality of workmanship and general state of metalwork.

£4k should buy a similar spec but possibly on a galv chassis.
£1k should buy an original and fairly rusty project.

Thanks i was thinking around 2-3k for it. been looking at different sites and that's a general price for one that age.

ill sell u mine for that!!

Budgie ... £5.00, telegraph pole tar ... nowt and I'll chuck you two sacks of shredded paper in for nowt.. D'you want a green budgie? I can run to a yellow or blue one or possibly a grey one if you stick a gallon of juice in :).

I'll be in Swanwick/Belper on Saturday. Where can I meet you?

:D

Not far from me at all that, pop over other side of Alfreton and take it haha. its insured and at least ill get more than what it is actually worth at the minute lol

May sound stupid but if its ur 1st times trying offroading and your not sure your gunna like it, then buy a Suzuki sj. They are a lot cheaper to buy all kitted up! Obviously it won't be as good as a landrover :D but a cheaper way to see if you like it.

Strong offer!
Although I will offer you my next door neighbours wife but you got to collect her! (Between 7am-5pm as his a big bloke), a small garden shrub with suspected cat poo in it, half a chewed dogs marrow bone and if it's got a full tank I would consider letting you have a jar of trapped fart!

Or Let him know my offer if you don't want it!

Sorry mate ill have to decline your offer unless you can guarantee that the bush does have cat poo in it..

Also pictures of the next door neighbours wifes chest would help. thanks

Hmm I'll see what I can do but not promising! Theres been a post deleted on here from someone

On a more serious note go for a sj to see if you like it. You can get quite a good one for under a grand

Go on then, I'll bid you a pound of mature cheddar (with a long date), a ginger cat (slightly old and in need of a bath/shave), Two 145/50R13 tyres, a commercial sized box of Tena-Men and a pair of used size 12 riggers...

Having carefully considering raising my offer I have to declare I'm out of the bidding. Competition is too high.

I bid 1 x life size print of neighbour's chest, slightly stained and a collection of Twiglets that look like celebrities.

I'll raise you a 2008 thompson and morgan seed catalogue, two washers I found at the side of the A628 near Penistone, a bag of moulted hen feathers and a BNIB tesco stilton dated 28/12/2013...

Beat that!
