Yeah, coz that's real effort releasing 2 meters of line....If you clipped your winch rope to top of windscreen or back end of wings (a decent amount unspooled) when you go to use it you dont have to wind that bit out and back in again
The difference between your two photos is that the first looks like the owner does not have a home to attach the winch hook to, so has looped the cable around to hold the hook and stop it rattling around. Normally on that sort of bumper it would have "shackles" inserted in to the two holes either side of the top of the steering guard plate.
The second rope is as you say the spectre look, good luck keeping it as someone will have it away.

Which clearly these 2 vehicles have never been anywhere near...Don’t get mad at me! just what people have said, does make a difference if your on a pay and play site and winching people maybe a dozen times in the day
Don't get don't get disillusioned, most tratter owners would love to have a rope as an accessory and not holding the exhaust together.Fair enough i just thought id make a thread and ask happy new year to you all
