Just done this job on my td5 with that £11 eBay jobby. I bought some hex RivNuts too. When I got it the central pin was missing it's circlip, so I fitted one. This didn't work because of the pressure needed to pop the nut, the handles kept splaying out. I simply solved this by fitting a bolt and lock nut. This worked perfectly then. I did try doing this job with the bolt and nut method, but found it unsuccessful and not the finish I wanted. So I ended up buying the tool. Went for the cheap option tool, as I will probably never use it again! Have included pics of it, worked a treat for the price.
