Hello, i'm delighted to be picking up my 2005 Vogue 4.4 tomorrow - my first ever LR (at last!), so i've a bunch of no doubt incredibally dumb questions.....stupid question number one:

For general driving, which ride height do you suggest i select?

Many thanks, Auber

Thanks for the welcome! Really - love the sound of that....do i need to do anything to ensure the genius of a (not specialist) car salesman hasn't got it set on any manual mode or anything? (I PROMISE i'll learn fast and the questions will get less stupid)...

Nope, when you start it, it wil raise/settle to "normal" unless inhibit switch pressed. Won't do anything untill all doors/tailgate shut tho...locks the EAS if anything open.

Love it, thanks Ridesafe, the more i read about this car the more excited i get....roll on 3pm tomorrow! Last one for now - so unless i'm heading off road, i need never play with the ride height nob - or is there a situation where you would play with it?

Don't do it when your driving. You may get some funny looks.

:welcome2:

I certainly will....claims a good history, but i've got the fear already about all the little (but pricey) niggles i don't want to find in the next couple of months....doesn't get rid of the huge smile on my face though!

For peace of mind i would check all the oils etc, as soon as you get it. I have seen lots of motors just bought running around with little oil in the engine etc.

Great stuff, the garage i've bought it from serviced it today apparently, stamped the book, still i'll have someone take a quick look - many thanks, decent advice once again..
