+1,if you don't mind having two fobs go for the remote jog switch,they can be bought off the Bay for less than£5 if you can wait for it to be posted or less than£15 for two days delivery from this country.
Fair enough I’m guessing the (green dot) versions not a guaranteed fix then .?? Glad you’ve said as I’m at Landrover main dealer tomorrow with the disco and they actually quoted £220 so I was considering picking one up.
The key in the ignition message is due to the key sensing flap being stuck, needs a wash out with switch cleaner such as Aero klene 50, do NOT use WD40, that will end up gumming up the lock. As long as the system thinks the key is in when it isn't you will have a problem.
That one must just be bad timing then but thanks datatek I’ll Get it cleaned. I put it on charge and an hour later the charger indicator on the charger said it was charged. So assumed it was

Yes it has leds one lights orange when it’s charging and one lights green when it’s charged
OK so it probably is fully charged, so that's good.
I would hope so. Just seems strange that I’ve been charging that old battery every time it’s dies for a week or so and now this one’s on the thing won’t start lol
I’ve just this min picked up a new can.Contact cleaner and a blast of compressed air then lubricate with graphite dust is best for the ignition switch.
