roof off and new cappings will sort that
Easy fix and a propper job as Sean says... get new body cappings. About £75 for a propper pair. I got mine off Ian Notts (he is on this site). Drill the old rivets out. Replace all the seals. I believe you can get away with not taking to roof right off and prop it up with a brush but not seen that one done.
I did mine last year with no experience... it was easy enough. You drill new holes from the inside out for riveting and fill the old holes. You may as well prime and hand paint the lot while you are at it. See my profile for a couple of pics. Getting it water tight is testing but I did it with advice of peeps on here. Mine was in a similar condition to yours
the capping is the steel trim that sits on top of the ali tub.

I would what a good look at the bulkhead and the chassis before sorting out the little jobs
I agree with that.... get it through an MOT first. Then the cosmetic stuff can be done in the summer (9 weeks away)

window wiper motors. they moved a little when we first turn the engin on but now they wont move at all.
a nother problem is teh fuel cap. it wont unlock. anyone know how to get them off without a key?

if its the old type fuel cap , just turn them by hand till her hear it crack then its buggered but open, i did mine once or a screwdriver will do it
