Aha - a possible lifesaver.
I've spent 4 HOURS on this hateful job tonight, and ended up giving up and jamming the window up with wood until the weekend. Now I've got pictures, it should be a lot easier (especially if I can get the tension right, which I think has been my problem tonight).

some free advice;
put up an introduction post as per forum etiquette, you'll see a new members intro section
then start a new post asking the same question, rather than adding to a very old post
you may get more helpful replies
