Maybe you can help me Dave.

Immobiliser kicked in Thursday and I had to get recovered. Managed to get engine mobilised again using the key to input the code in the door using the manual remobilise method.

Now remote locking doesn't work with either fob.
I've searched and tried leaving it in pos 2 in ignition for 5 minutes. Tired pressing lock button 5 times on fob but still no help.

Any ideas on how I can resolve it?

Before coming out with solutions, can you explain why the car's immobiliser kicked in on Thurs and under what circumstances? This might have a bearing on how to resolve the problem.

Wiring CB to earth under the bonnet, suspect the battery came disconnected for a short period and this caused immobiliser to come on.
Only added an earth for the CB to existing earth but after that it all went to pot.

it's possible that the BCU lost the syncronisation with the fobs...or the roof receiver failed... this one might have corrosion at the earth connection and it didnt start after the battery was re-connected

lock/unlock with the key(dont open the door!!!) then try to lock/unlock with the fob, maybe the BCU went to sleep

Or........................

Disconnect the battery, leave disconnected for 30mins then reconnect, then try what Sierryfery said.

Disconnected the battery for half hour. Still working with key but not with fob, took headlining down and visual inspection, no corrosion and earth appears to be alright.

Will have to try replacing receiver.

Receiver didn't make a difference.
Been with an auto electrician all day and he's checked receiver as well, nothing's wet or corroded. No loose connections, keys are programmed correctly. Fuses all ok.
Ran out of time today, will hopefully have an answer tomorrow.

Fingers crossed, I feel like a tratter driver putting a key in the door to unlock!

Got it back from Eric Kaye's in Thornton.

3 things were wrong with it.

1) BCU had wiped the key code from in its memory to match the fob. Therefore wouldn't unlock when fob was pressed.
2) The BCU had changed config to allow key in door opening only and wouldn't accept the fob being pressed anyway.

3) receiver was ####ed.

Anyway, back now and it wasn't as expensive as I thought it would.
Gotta love an old school auto electrician.

Used a couple of times now on different vehicles, and a few of my mates use him as well.

Can't recommend enough.

i'm glad it's sorted but i hope you believe me when i say you that point nr 2. is complete boll*x...the "always disarm with key" setting allows the car to be unloccked WITH THE KEY TOO beside the fob, there's no such setting to override the fob ... anyway it doesnt matter too much now it's good it works

Hmm perhaps one and two are combined then.
And as the code for the fob was erased from the BCU, it just showed as that on the diags plug in?

Who knows. Anyway all sorted now so that's all that matters.

Key in the door didn't work everytime, so stood in a dark car park after work, wiggling a key in the lock for a few minutes made me feel a bit conspicuous! :)
