Wow - what a great idea! Say, can you help me set mine up? Whereabouts are you and what's your reg number?Use cat litter to filter out the dye. The best stuff is called Sanicat, it's full of activated charcoal.
You'll find it come out so clear it looks like pariffin so add a couple of litres of derv to each batch to give it a green tinge.
Use 4" sewer pipe in a 'V' config using a 'Y' bend. Cut one pipe shorter than the other by about a foot. Fill the pipe with the cat litter. Then trickle the red into the high side. It will eventuall perculate through the litter and over flow out of the lower side clear.
Obviously use your initive to refine the setup. You should be fit to filter about 25 gall a day.
Should be enough to keep your pussy landrovers going.
If you get stuck and need a tow ... give me a shout.
Red diesel?
I have just bought a load of red derv but im a bit worried about getting busted with red in my landrover!
I have heard some stories that say you can filter out the die some how?
Does anyone know anything about this?
