Neglible fuel saving and poor handling is all you'll get.
Repair the IRD then save up for the Vcu while you props off
Depends on the damage. Someone could seem weld it I guess. Recon ird suppliers give you money for your old ird but not when it's cracked. So it may be they can't repair the case easily. Can we have a pic to see the hole?is it possible to repair a hole in casing ??? Sorry I am a bit of a noob at car repairs but I want my freelander up and running
2 reasons for selling. 1 it's broke'd. 2 it's off a Freelander they're scrapping. Either way you can't be sure it's a good one. If you know and see the reason why the Freelander is scrap then you may be lucky.btw what are peoples thoughts on 2nd hand IRD's on ebay??? works out cheaper than a recon unit but bit worried about how long it would last.
