Looking for recommendations for Series 3 repair/service. I need to find someone local who's a Landy person. Trustworthy and who has the experience. I live in Looe Cornwall, I am prepared to travel or someone could work on her here with us. I've previously used a local car garage which did her Mot but they don't have the Landy experience. Anyone help? Thank you

Hi Claire, I can't offer any recommendations in your area as I'm rather far away in Leicestershire but as an ex-mechanic I can pass on some advice: Try to find a small, village garage with older mechanics; a business that has been in the same place for many years and has survived by doing good work and has a good rep locally. Ask around...
The problem with younger mechanics is that many of them don't want to work on an old vehicle, they tend to be fitters rather than mechanics; all they want to do is swap old parts for new.
Try to establish a friendly relationship, if they don't want to talk about your LR and what you want done but tend to say: "don't worry about it" and that kind of 'dismissive' talk, walk away. I Hope this helps?

I believe Vanstones in Launceston are OK, never used them cos I do my own work. I'm sure there would be somewhere nearer you but I dont really venture that way very often
