I'm staying in bed very quiet, she's found some exterior paint and dropped some hints about the barge boards and soffits.
Don't blame you then. Feign illness.

We used to race one up against the Fraser Imps semi works team, used to do quite well, I was really just a labourer working on the engines.
Mate had one was a bit light on the front, nothing a bag or cement didn't cure he said.
The swing axle front suspension was a bit crude, lowering the inner pivots improved things and gave a bit of negative camber on the front wheels. I never liked the rubber doughnuts on the half shafts.Imp suffered in handling when it had suspension lifted to suit US bumper height requirements. Plastic bumpers were fitted to later MGBs for same reason.
Glad I've no plans to spend time P38 in beautiful Portugal. Useful info to know though...I'm always surprised on here the wheel and tyre questions...Portugal log book lists factory size for both as manufactor fitted for that model turn up for mot with anything else fail stopped at police routine check can be everyday wrong size fine...but there is a section that you can get different sizes on log book for same vehicle but only manufactor options for that vehicle but you cant just buy them if youv'e not changed log book...

Road rumble almost cancelled out by the replacement stainless steel exhaust note, especially when loud pedal exercised :~} What mods did you make to suspension out of interest?Wheel spacers will the lock but have their own agenda.
You’ve gone bit too big for it not to be a nuisance of some sort.
I have 275/75 iirc and modded suspension for them to fit. If you drop to the bump stops you will crash
How do you like the road rumble?
EAS bypassed currently, using schraeder valve on each, well pumped-up corner.Oh yes..
EAS fault as RRDT says..
Wouldn't want it dropping onto its arse with those tyres!!!!!!!!
Thanks Tony. When I bought the tyres, I thought they were 65's and that there wouldn't be an issue.Wheel spacers are for fitting wider wheels with a deeper dish than standard, to return the centre of rotation to it's correct position and retain correct steering geometry. NOT for giving clearance to oversized none standard tyres or widening track. How many times does this need saying before people take it in.

Hardly mullered. Mudguards off front (completely reusable) and trimmed the plastic strip under the front valance. And now he's mullered the bodywork ...
The water pumps were the weak spot, I had a mod for that.Thermostats on Imp vans were a bastard job. And the pneumatic throttle on early ones was a total joke.
Wheels ARE smaller...now on 16".Smaller wheels
And nobody's mentioned the added stress on the wheel bearings.
Put 16" wheels on.More positive offset to the steering geometry can make the car hard to control in some circumstances.
Currently drive less than 2 miles from flat to boatyard and back. Had a gaggle ofpunctures at boatyard on 19"s with standard road tyres. Plan to use off road and, when restrictions evaporate, green laning again. For longer road distances, I'll go back to 19" wheels and tyres. Now I've got a decent compressor, won't be too much of an effort to swap regularly. He had a wheel fall oft not long ago would be my worry
Be careful take your time Mike

Don't remind me, I had an Imp vanTo change the thermostat on the vans you had to remove and replace the studs at the same time as the thermostat housing. If you just removed the nuts the housing would not slide off the studs it hit the bodywork. A pain in the butt they were.
