Recoding immobiliser needed

I have a 07 plate discovery manual that has died, just had a bloke from diagnostics out who says its the immobiliser that's stopping it from starting. Help needed as I haven't a clue,just rang one bloke and he says its a main dealer trip

Just pop down your local Chav watering hole, wave a £50 note around and I'm sure somebody will sort out your immobiliser.

Otherwise, go to your dealer, with proof of ownership and photo identity and they should be able to advise.
