I need to fit a forward facing rear seat in my Defender 90, does anyone have any advise which seat I can get to adapt to fit.
I don't have the funds for exmoor etc.
Thinking of minibus seats or something but any help would be great.

Rescroft Plica is what you want. Occasionally come up on EBay. They fold inwards over your wheel arch or alternatively bolt some mini bus seats in like I did. Mine are rear facing to preserve some load space and also so the twins can't kick me anymore...:D

The rear facing seats is a good idea, the original idea was to put my 3yr olds car seat in the front middle seat but he kept kicking the gear and transfer sticks by accident. I've got side facing seats but he can't go in them.

Ha Iv had mine kicked outta gear a few times. Been to France last two years in it nearly 1500 miles in a fortnight with twins in the rear seats and my eldest in the middle occasionally grabbing the steering wheel or gear lever!:D

It might be worth checking with your insurance company, and see what they will cover. I've seen side facing seats detailed as: 'for occasional use' so not requiring seatbelts... It may be the case, if you want the occupant to be covered in the event of an accident, that only 'type approved' or OEM seats will be allowed??? This crash testing and certification may be the reason why exmoor seats are so expensive...

Check Land Rover Trim Specialists - Front Seats Second Row Seating Load Area Seating and Accessories they have a good range of seats... and may be able to advise.

This is the issue, for safety's sake and legally he has to be in a child car seat until he is 135cm tall or 12 years old, a child seat can't go on side facing seats so I need to put a forward facing seat in the back.

Plica. This is just experimental fitting stage. Getting brackets made out of box steel to push out further to middle but they are good seats at a fraction of exmoor price.
