rear quarter light rubbers (and maybe tailgate)

Is it just me??

when I resprayed my disco last year i found that there were no reasonably priced replacement seals... I ended up masking round them (which i hate doing) then filling in the cracks with PU sealer (which looks crap, a bit less crap than cracked and split, but crap nevertheless)

I was then pricing up a respray for someone else recently who mentioned the same issue.

this got me on to thinking... I'm currently sat at home for 6 weeks following surgery, so I've a little time on my hands.

I've possibly found a manufacturer, but obviously there will be a min quantity order.

Now, if it's just me and this other bloke, i'm not gonna bother, i'll just buy the ones that are available, however, if there's a market, then I might invest a bit of time into it and see what I can do...

New quarter rubbers can be got for about 30squid. If you can get them a lot cheaper I'll be interested in a pair........... And tailgate too.

Have you tried major windscreen suppliers - Autoglass, etc.

What kind of prices are you thinking you can get?

At the moment I don't know, I've sent a sample to a couple of manufacturers just to see whether it's a viable idea...
