Both td4 ?
Unfortunately they are welded inside the box section, and the welds have been known to break. The reason is down to the check strap not moving freely enough, which over time puts enough strain on the welds for them to fail.mine are loose

ffs just took dash out to change bulbs and now the remote fob wont work ? any ideas ?Yes, but they're not difficult to re-cover in new fabric either. There's loads of guides on how to re-cover on line.
Check the connection to the receiver module, which is mounted on top of the Ipack.ffs just took dash out to change bulbs and now the remote fob wont work ? any ideas ?
i drove the car with no dash in it and thats when i found its not working by trying to lock the car with no dash in it , is the i pack the dash ?Check the connection to the receiver module, which is mounted on top of the Ipack.
sorry yes , remote is sending signal , do you think coz i drove it without the modules connected that its forgotten the signal from the remote ??Receiver is black box fits on brackets on top of instrument module with the speedo and rev counter in a case.
I pack is the instrument module and electronics. So if the 'dash' was out then the receiver is probably out too !!
You failed to mention a large part of the car electronics was left removed!! Sounded like you had fixed lamps put it back together and remote had failed !!

nope still wont work ? is there a fuse that may of blown ?It might need re-syncing, but the CCU can't forget the remote code.
To synchronise the remote, you have to press the lock or unlock button a few times in short succession.
