Disco 1 Rear propshaft captive bolts

Hey guys. How hard is it to change the captive bolts for the rear propshaft? Do I need to remove the handbrake drum and flange to get at them? 1 of mine is stripped of thread. Any tips or advice is greatly appreciated

You'll deffo have to get the handbrake drum off, after that, dunno.
(Use an impact driver on the little screw to make sure you don't bugger the head.)
As they jiggle about once loosened off, I'd imagine it can't be too hard!
Took my drum off not long ago, never though to look inside to see what holds the captive bolts in place.

Impact driver all the way. It is my hands down favourite tool of all time. Thanks for the tip.
As I understand it I need to take the drum off, the flange off, pop the old bolts out and pop the new ones in. Then it's just putting it all back together again. I might as well adjust the handbrake while I'm at it.
The question is have I forgotten any steps along the way? It will be nice to get it done and move onto the other things that need doing. Such as drive shaft oil seal and porous fuel lines. Its an edc engine with the variable resister mod fitted to a switch. Currently only starts with the switch in the on position.

There is a large circlip that hold the bolts in place number 8 on the drawing,
Probably worth replacing oil seal and felt washer while you are at it,
