Yeah back in the day when i first got into landy's i first used BP ones which were shocking then moved over to GME parabolics which were good then moved away from series for a few years then moved back and used GME paras again but the rears seemed to sag right from the off but then decided to fit a roof tent and board out the landy which made them worse ( expected as not good for load ) so now looking at fitting multileaf now, i'm leaning towards GME again but never used there multileaf ones hence why i'm asking :)

Yeah the ones fitted are GME parabolics ok i could just have a weak pair but don't want to chance them again and with the extra weight i'm carrying think multileaf would be better.

Oooerh. I have just brought a full set of 11 leafers from Paddocks partly on cost, £90 each rear, £120 each front, but they were also recommended. They also came with bushes, shackle pins and U bolts. They arrived last week and look fine but obviously the proof will be when they are fitted next week. I brought the rear ones they are replacing at the Newbury jumble about fifteen years ago for a tenner each, almost as much as the sack truck I had to buy to drag them, a couple of wheels, (fiver for both), and a front seat across the field.
The Landrover Workshop is worth a browse. Much of the time a range of prices from numerous outlets seem to refer to the same part.
 
Update on the rear springs, i tried to order from paddocks today but couldn't work out which springs was Britpart or GME and still waiting for an email from them but have now decided to buy from Jones springs but they have an 8 week lead time so at least i will be busy over Christmas :D

I love working outside under a vehicle in -3c :D especially if it's windy and/or raining :eek:
 
Rattler. On the LR workshop pages there are part numbers, prices and sometimes the make/model/manufacturer all listed. Some entries keep it vague with just ‘British made’ noted but other items are a bit more detailed. I was able to be so precise with my order I’m sure it helped secure the order and delivery within a week. I accrued a few Paddocks loyalty brownie points which I spent quick sharp on even more clutter. LR pages certainly worth a look imho.
I put the crew cab on last week. Like a monsoon in there this morning. Must remember the big towel nonsense as condensation is only going to get worse.

I have had land rover series and vans just like that, what I could never understand is when the condensation ran off it always without fail landed in my crotch!

I read an article on this recently. Something akin to a Tonka toy crane with moving parts went through four countries before it was boxed up in a warehouse outside Bruges. I’m trusting my new springs will be better than what we currently have wherever they have surfaced from.
 
I've got GME multi leaf springs on my 88". They are made in Coventry, and give a nice ride. I definitely recommend them. Called their helpline and talked to someone who was very helpful. GME is an OEM supplier to JLR and Morgan Cars.

gdiproducts seller on eBay sells GME springs.

Cheer's but i've ordered the Jones springs now :)
 
Right, due to me messing up with ordering with Jones springs ( thought i ordered them on thier website but didn't ) i've now bought a set of GME ones from Paddocks which arrived today and if weather permitting ( house decorating stuff in the garage ) i will fit them over the weekend :)
