HI guys

I’ve today had a issue with the handbrake and rear brakes,
Went to set off and dropped the handbrake off and went to pull off and it appears that the rear wheels were locked up
Anybody know the best solution
Many thanks

Giving the drum and backplate of the hand brake unit a few whacks with a lump hammer can make it let go. Also try backing off the adjuster. It is probable the hand brake expander is gummed up and so sticking. Chock wheels when doing this.

When you've freed the handbrake off, it might be worth removing the drum and cleaning it and the shoes up. While you're in there check the adjuster and expander to make sure they are working correctly and not seized.

Cable can also seize.
To get at the inner workings of the handbrake drum you will need to remove the front nuts of the rear prop, slotted screw holds the drum on then it should pull off. The shoe adjuster is on the rear of the drum backplate halfway up .
If you disconnect the cable then undo the 4 bolts inside you can remove the whole back plate with the shoes on and clean/grease it up on the bench.
