tap it on gently, then turn slow n sure first bit of turn will be the bite then jobs a gooden!
might need pop ratchet on half way so nipple fits etc
 
There are 2 types of rear pistons. I think I still have a pair of the earlier ones which are no use to me. Difference is where the bleed nipple is.

I was going to try to get at it from behind the hub with a ratchet screwdriver first. less chance of applying off centre torque - ie won't 'pull' on it.
 
An electric power file is a Godsend when replacing wheel cylinders, I've never tried breaking the bolts off with a chisel but it only takes a couple of minutes to grind the heads off with a power file.
Something like this would do the trick
Went and bought one of those. Didn't want to for just one bolt but a reciprocating saw wouldn't go in there and a pry bar was going to wreck the mounting plate. What an awesome but of kit - adjustable angle let me get right in there and it took the head off in a couple of minutes. Zero collateral damage. Thanks for the recommendation.
