Rear Axle change 2006 TD 5 on a 1992 200TDI 90

Would a Rear Axle removed from a 2006 TD 5 be an easy swap onto my 1992 200TDI ?

yes, as long as its off a defender as a td5 Disco has a whatts and not an A frame

Do you have disc brakes on the rear of your 200tdi?

Thanks guys, yes the axle was removed from a Defender and A frame is included in the deal but unfortunately no calipers ,so will have to source calipers to match the axle .

No unfortunately not it has drum brakes ,so an upgrade to discs and been quoted that the newer axles are stronger .

Good question Litch ,what I have been told was that the axle came from a 2006 TD 5 and didn't specify 90/110. But what I have done was checked the part no on the brake caliper and was for a 90 . What would the difference be between a 110 axle and a 90 and if it was a 110 can it be fitted ?
