Have you tried taking the handbrake off? :D

Only joking but something is not right. I used to have a Series IIA fitted with a 5.7 small block chevy V8 which did more than 17mpg.

Dont give up on it as you'll be happy once its sorted.

Swan Industrial drives on Stoneferry, between B&Q roundabout and Chamberlain Road roundabout top of Lorraine Street. Or nearer to you Lodges down English Street.

Nice one Seeing as I'm changing the handbrake shoes and fitting a Propshaft & Bolts. Thought I might as well change the oilseal at the same time. and speaking of bolts I bought a set of 8 noo uns from DLS and the daft tw*ts sent me 8@ 1" x 3/8unf insted of 4@ 1" and 4@ 1&3/4" so it looks like anuffa visit to scotts is on the cards. Bastids.

Is that the one thought it was more in depth than that.

I dint know I found that one an assumed it were the right un.

Scotts deffo have the bolts an Nyloc nuts. Swan had the seals in stock when I got mine but it might be worth ringing em with the seal sizes. I'll see if I can find the reciept for mine.

Do you know how to get the bolts off the transfer box where it connects to the front propshaft? I changed mine the other day and had to use the original ones which were a bit fookd coz i couldn't see a way of getting the bolts out as the tranny flange got in the way!? (tranny flange - how wrong is that??):D

Grunt Nice one
OD hang on and I'll have a look in the manual on the rear you have toremove the drum and undo the big nut holding the flange on and then remove a large circlip that stops the bolts from moving. Be warned oil ****es out when you remove the flange.

Ta Pikey, i'll have a look at that when i get 'er back from t'welder hopefully tomorrow! I had to chisel the nuts and split em off the bolts cos the spanners just sheared em so i 'spect the bolts ain't too clever now! Front ones came off no problem which was just as well coz it was getting dark! The driveshaft i got off paddocks came with complete new nuts and bolts set so they're ready to go on (well the nuts already are!)
