All bracketery to be painted yet, all nuts and bolts to be replaced with new and i need to go round the rad panel with a grinder where i've cut it to fit the rad and intercooler :)

Dam, was hoping to send the g/box away to Syncro gearboxes this week but we emailed them this week and there reply said they are not taking on anymore jobs on atm as they have a too big a work load and said they hope to be ready for taking on more work early Autum which is roughly 2.5 months away so I will have to wait till then :(

Everything I ordered last week has now arrived , the only thing I had a problem with was the X brake kit as it went missing probably delivered somewhere else, anyway they sent me another one out A.S.A.P. so once I eventually get the gearbox sent off to Syncro gearboxes and then get it back I can then fit the X brake kit :)

Fitted most of the intercooler pipes Saturday and today trying different ways and I've settled for moving the aftermarket 300tdi intercooler back towards the engine and upside down as the inlet and outlets are easier to work, course the local motor world didn't have any hose clips in to suit so I ended up ordering a box of them and I've just ordered 2 x 60mm-50mm reducer's as the inlet and outlet on the new intercooler are 60mm and not 50mm as they are on a std intercooler.
will post pic's in a few mins :)

I've surprised myself to be honest as my fab skills are carp but i'm not rushing with this one as with my last one I rushed it a bit but back then I hadn't done an engine conversion before, turbo's and intercooler's were new to me then so everything was a bit will have to do but with this one i'm trying to get everything right if not close :)

Looking great shame about the gearbox going to take so long. Have you tried David Beaumont 4x4 gearboxes? They are in Halifax so not to far from you. I got my gearbox from them was very happy with the service.

Yeah we emailed them the other day and they said they only recon gearboxes but if we buy the upgrade transfer box kit from Syncro gearboxes they can fit it for us, still thinking about it atm :)

My intercooler hose reducers I ordered the other day have now arrived and I'm on an early shift tomorrow and will have the whole afternoon to play with them when I get home :D

Finally finished my intercooler pipes, the blue top rad hose is just to show that both hoses will go on without touching as I intend fitting black silicon hoses :)

Then once i've got the rad hoses where i want them i will strip the rad and intercooler out to remove all the brackets and rad frame i've made and moded for painting inc the rad frame then refit everything back on.

I've decided on rubber hoses for the rad hoses as it would cost over twice as much as it cost to do the intercooler pipes, anyway i've ordered them now and should be here by weekend all being well :)

Spent the day fitting the rad hoses inc painting the joining tubes, just need to fab a bracket to support the bottom hose as its just proud of the front X member

Excellent thread rattler, I've been enjoying this one. It's been keeping my landy juices flowing while stuck indoors fitting a kitchen.. ;)
