Good evening gents.
As we all know, owning a Defender or two, means on going maintainence & modification.
So during the last 10 years of owning my 300tdi,I've done pretty much everything.
Though one job that needed doing from day 1,was the doors either replacing or refurbishing.
So,I picked up a new pair of door skins & hinges about a year ago.
Thinking I'll get round to that job, when I get a spare weekend.I'm sure a few of you can relate to that.
So,with new doors,I needed to re-paint the doors to match the existing colour. But I did'nt know what colour it was & it was...Well,lets say.Pastits best.
I'd seen cars painted with raptor at a couple of the Landy shows, some looked OK,but, most looked a little poor.
Anyhow I bit the bullet,& ordered 8 litres of tintable,& 4 litres of black Raptor, plus 1 litre of Land Rover Alpine white paint to give the colour.
After 3 weekends of work,I'm very pleased with the result.
Marc.
