I have a 71 classic and a disco brake/clutch bracket thingy is not a direct swap.

It can be made to fit though :) I swapped mine because my servo was a bit iffy and had a breaking disco. The 4 top bolt holes fit, the bottom, some line up but the bottom of the bracket/plate is different. I cut about 1" off the disco one and welded on the 1" cut off the rangie one. also had to chop a bit off the steering colum mount to miss brake pedal parts. Worth all the work as I now have a disco servo/master cylinder and the rangie brakes are 3 time better than they were :)

Thanks EeEK, i think if your determined you can move a mountain, i have managed to get one off an ebay breaker off a classic rangie, did you find that the rear prop fits back ok ie is the 5speed disco manual box the same length as the auto box?

dont know about that....
Mine went from 3.5 with 4 speed manual to 3.9 auto :) I guess I changed the prop at the same time but cant remember.

Still have the clutch pedal though it just sits on the floor. It might go 300tdi yet so I left the pedal just incase.
