I have some older "Wipac 4x4" driving lights which I rescued from my rusty Disco.

They are sat on the front of my 110 waiting for me to wire them in. I have an eBay special wiring kit, but I need to extend the fused positive that goes up to the battery.

Question...what rating/gauge of wire should I buy?

Second question...Is there a good, legal LED straight swap replacement for the existing filament bulbs?

Thanks in advance...

Question...what rating/gauge of wire should I buy? For purposes of alleviating voltage drop go for a wire that is thicker than the one in the kit (simplified answer)

Thanks...but I don't know what spec the kit wire is, and I want to order online, so I just need the spec. Does 20A seem sensible?

If you are using 55watt bulbs, 20 amp cable will be fine. Make sure there is a 15 amp fuse in the wiring somewhere. There are LED alternatives, but make sure you get the road legal ones.
