HI Folks,

Ive bought a P38 with a few problems, and need some advice from a few owners/techies to help me out.

When turning the ignition on on the Rangie, I get messages about nearside front window reset and offside front window reset.

How do I reset these windows to eliminate this message? Is there a set routine, and can anyone tell me what it is please.

Thanks in advance. :)

one at a time roll each down all the way, keep button pressed for a couple of seconds then roll up all the way keep button pressed a couple of seconds. everytime you disconnect the battery you will need to do this for all 4 windows and the sunroof.

Don't worry if you don't get it right this time - you will have tons of opportunity to practice in the future.

LOL - Cheers guys. I dare say I will be a regular visitor in this forum as I have quite a list of jobs to do on this new Rangie. Starting with what may be a big end problem.

You have sorted the windows and the big end is knocking?

In a former life did you rearrange the deckchairs as the Titanic sank?

lol good luck with all the little jobs, all us P38 owners have been there/are there/will be there depending which day you read this :D

LOL...well I was just getting all the electrics etc ship shape. I didnt realise the windows had to be reset everytime the battery is disconnected. However, the big end knock which I thought was prevalent is actually a sticking tappet. An oil and filter change sorted that and its fine now.

Just the horn to sort and in for an MOT. Hopefully no drama's are due! ;)
