Right, I cannot connect to the air suspension ECU nor the airbag ECU.

I can talk to the instrument cluster, ABS, engine, gearbox, transfer box, parking sensors, steering angle sensor.

The ABS ECU has the air suspension can error stored. I have done countless hours of research on forums and am totally stumped. I find it hard to believe the can bus is down as I can talk to ECU’s. I also scoped the can bus and it seems to be fine. I scoped the K bus and I’m not sure if it’s ok or not. I have tried disconnecting every ECU connected to the K bus and it has no effect. Only module I didn’t disconnect was the LCM but this appears to be on the I BUS. The only bits which don’t work on my l322 are front headlight wipers, rear window wiper, steering column lock doesn’t engage, steering column doesn’t motor in nor out but does go up and down, not sure if seat memory functions work, not sure if the dipping mirror works as not used it at night yet and satnav thinks I’m miles away from actual location. Oh and radio reception is rubbish.

Does the EAS ECU talk to the diagnostics via can bus or k bus? Whats the chances of an air bag module fault which doesn’t illuminate the light on the dash ie it goes off normally? I’m really pulling my hair out I’ve this now!

As they’re linked to the EAS and have had issues with connecting to the ecu when they weren’t working and it was a wiring fault to the glovebox light

Yeah I couldn’t believe it either - there is some link but can’t remember how I found it now

Might not be your issue but worth checking to save your sanity!

Thanks.

It really is driving me crazy! Even tried different modules from a RR breaker which they promised me were good. Now all returned as none helped. Even tried a different instrument cluster!

I don't know about the snap on, or what he landrover specialist had.

I have a faultmate msv2 extreme for the P38 and things like snap on etc wont touch the various modules on it. especially not the EAS.

for my L322 I've just ordered a GAP IID tool, (sitting at the post office as no one was on to sign on Friday) as generic software wont access the modules, and the Jag/LR SDD is so slow, I've seen glaciers move quicker.. so so slow that it advises you to connect a battery charger and then it has to download updates to the software etc.

I suspect that until you get it on dedicated diagnostics, you're going to be shouting at the moon !

The specialist had autologic I believe. He said they have always been able to talk to these with it.
