So, Friday night in the Lakes .. Hole int wall, dead easy to find!!!!!
Great pub, good beer, good food, and really good people, met so many, DrEvil, drewster, Sarah, Johnlad .. cant remember you all, but I certainly enjoyed it.
Anyway, Saturday Laning .. only a couple of pictures and a few videos ..
Maddogminder (Brian) coming up Stile End
.
My springs decided that there was too much axle movement, so departed .. a couple of times, despite relocation cones. We worked out that they were extending down past the cones and springing outside of them, so when they were coming back up the cones spat them out instead of relocating them! Big thanks to everyone, specially Mark (onestop) who did a sterling job messing my coat up on the tyre just keep himself clean .. Cheers mate.
But the tops still popped out so to stop that I tied some webbing on to hold the springs in and stop them dislocating ..
Worked well, and theyre still on now ..
So the videos .. A few spots of snow ..
So today, one picture, one video
Mark seems to have a squashed, let alone shortened, Range Rover! Actually sat waiting in a stream!!
Then me .. crossing the stream .. arsetwitching like a good un ..
Right enjoyed the weekend .. 'specially the farmers we met! "Gerrorrff my laaaannndd" Big thanks to Sue and Westwood, pair of stars ..
Ready for the next one now, but Juliet's a bit tired ...
Gotta say, Defender .. way better than Discovery offroad, and now comfier!! Surprised me that, 'cos at first try it's not so comfy, but the Defender seat and back really work well, compared to the Disco and we've both got home feeling better for having driven the Defender all weekend on motorways, and lanes than we've ever felt from the Disco! OK, it's not as quiet, but that was mostly tyre noise! It _is_ draftier and the cab wouldn't stay warm, though the heater did warm the air a bit .. but overall, smiles per miles outweighs miles per gallon for what's essentially a second car/toy!!!
