Ask the landlord if yu can put up a garage. Might be cheaper in the long run? Could possibly take it with you if yu move.

I just ordered a new nipple coupler off eBay as I want a spare in my stores, although I wouldn't recommend googling that exact phrase unless you have a particular fetish
I'm shocked at the rents being asked for properties with garages, serious dough and double what I pay currently for very little in return but at least I would be able to actually work on the Rusty one and get it done
Even units are cost prohibitive to rent short term round here
Viewed a house yesterday with an existing high garage with potential to be a double or to add a lean to. Mines not prepped for sale yet though. Funny enough there s car parts n tools everywhere.
And as if by magic, e have welding weather

I just popped back in for a brew, I've been on it for an hour now and it looks like I only got as far as pulling the tarp back
Lost me bit of steel bar, can't find the big thick extension lead, lost the bag of air line fittings, found my paint brushes swimming in the front foot well where the rain is still getting in
Never mind, it's still windy here but nowhere near as bad as it has been and at least the sun is out
Thought about that but I think it will be more beneficial to move inland TBH with the amount of development they have planned here on the island and with the M27 becoming a free car park I'm just not sure staying on the island is worth it long term.
Anyhoo I'm back off out to play

Smashing day on it today, the weather was hit an miss but the wind was noticeably less than it has been all week, got the body mount on and spent a bit of time doing a few other jobs too, very happy, still didn't get as far as fitting the rear quarter as I've lost the bloody mastic tape and it took me most of the day to find the pot of black paint
Few piccies, some from last time some from today.
Body mount fitted today with new bushes, holy smokes I will be ordering up some more bushes for the other side and replacing them as I couldn't believe how badly these were squashed and how much the new ones lifted the body.
Even my overhead welding came out quite good.
Everything was ready for the black top coat but I couldn't find the tin so I put the wheels on this side
Then found the paint when I dug out the torque wrench LOL
Looks like my winch bumper is going to need a little bit of adjusting to gain enough clearance when under articulation
Was busy clearing up a bit as I have gotten bad at just launching stuff everywhere and burying stuff and not knowing where it all is.
But I am quite pleased with todays progress
Even if I did spend far too long searching for stuff

Yeah where the body mount sits I had to cut a lump out the bottom, back and front of the rear body cross member so that the new body mount had a decent bit of metal to weld the new body mount onto.

I forgot to mention that when I made that repair section for the rear quarter it was a bit of flat sheet and I marked the ridges of the pressings in the panel and made a 3/4" slit in there and tacked it on the highs and beat it into the lows and then welded it all up, in hind sight I really ought to have just cut that whole panel out to the top and made a whole new piece, if I do another I'll do it that way and stitch some angle to stop panel drumming.

Good thread and some nice fab work , I’ve got to page 4 at the min , wiring was a bit melted at the start . I’d be interested to know how the thermo top is working I’ve been thinking of fitting one to the 90 as I’m doing something with the heater but not sure what yet and was thinking of installing one and running a heater off that , also looked at a D1 heater but don’t know the size of them and whether they’d fit .

Cheers man, not fitted my Webasto yet as the cutting and welding has go the better of me LOL
I'm sure you will enjoy the thread from page 4 onwards, I'm a master at buggering this thing up
Oh and lets not talk about me and my "make work" projects where a good idea goes south You ideally want one of these for your Webby, stand alone heater matrix and fan if you're going to run run it as a water heater, I quite fancy one too

Some more of the on board air bits turned up, this is the mini water separator
Little manual water drain off for any moisture collected
Mock ups of the mounting brackets for the pump and the tank seem to need a bit more work to get everything a little more compact but I can always get some more rubber vibration isolators to give me a bit more flexibility.
Will be nice to get it all fabbed up and fitted when I have finished the weldathon on the passenger side

A rubbish day on it today, got some done but it was a lot more tedious and time consuming than it need have been and not to mention getting dragged away to the family stuff, but hey ho.
Looks like the winch bumper needs trimmed
Mark it up and that's 80mm that needs lopped off.
Quite a stance on the new compared with the old
Got the front wing back on and snorkel plumbed back in.
Comparison of the wheel offsets.
I'm so going to have to do some radical alterations to the body work
New lip seal on the rear wheel tub in preparation for fitting the rear quarter panel, sealed to stop water ingress.
Boot floor will be going in real soon so thought I'd better get some primer on the floor supports.
Used some caravan panel jointing mastic tape to reattach the rear quarter panel with the humpteen bolts and screws.
For the first time in many months it's finally all back together, but talk about a faff trying to get it all lined up on me todd but get her done I did

I likes the new wheels an tyres but there is a lot to fitting them and extended arches are going to be needed but can't make up my mind what ones.
Only rubbish from the side of wanting to have gotten more done but I did get the new panels painted an seam sealed inside as well
