As in a van style bulkhead? That's good of you cheers.

Mate, you used to put your advance signage out on a job and by the time you'd circled back round the plate was gone lol. P.s. all the big stuffs still plate but there are cameras everywhere lol. After you mentioned it I drove up to the yard and it clicked. It's perfect for the job. Also using a rigid frame to make my new tank cradle bracket. Going to bevel edges down to 3mm. It looks perfect size but haven't measured.

I can post some pics if you like but yeah it is a folded ally tread plate on a box section frame, Belgian rules say that for a vehicle to be converted to commercial it has to have a minimum 250mm bulkhead separating the load bed from the front seating. You're more than welcome to it as I think you'll be able to use/adapt/modify it to suit your camper conversion, I am putting rear seats back in mine so it is totally surplus to requirements.

Went outside and played a bit today :)

@resto_d1 this is my "get me out of the sh1t" set up for the day I run out of gas, which I did today :(

Not exactly a great success but it did the job despite this happening.

Comes to something when your regulator freezes solid and you have to get it a hot water bottle

But meh, did get something done despite all the faffing around LOLZ

DiscoveryBootFloorSide&Tub.jpg

Underside all painted with the first coat of primer.

I will probably flip it over tomorrow night and get the inside roughed up and primed so that I can get the seam sealer on both sides and then a second coat of primer on the underside ready for next weekend.

Still in a quandry over the boot floor as I can't find the blind captive nuts that I want to use. If anyone knows of a supplier for these then please post up.

Oooo the nuts are a good shout. That a froggats arch? That makes things easier to drop in!!!

Yeah the wheel tub is from Friggits, great when you combine it with the new side sections, as long as you assemble it as I did before fitting them, it goes fast and easy.

clamp it together and line up the inner edges, scribe the line and then drill it for plug welds, I opted to do intermittent tacks on the inside too I'll run a wire wheel around the joint on the inside before I paint it but it has added a lot more strength and it all feels more rigid with the intermittent tacks :)

ere doozil..... what length welding hose is good - 3M/4M etc?

For the gas bottle? I have mine on a 4 meter airline so that I can dump the bottle and still have the welder portable, I think I'm going to go for a bigger bottle when I exchange mine this week.

Welding cart build coming soon I think as well.

nar - not gas but the actual lance

wont 4M get all tangled and be too long? its weighing convenience against problems.

The convenience is being able to leave the welder away from the work piece and it should make it safer/easier/more convenient to move around the work piece without getting tangled up or tripping over it, that was also my reasoning for going with a 4 meter electrode lead on my stick welder.
