Hi can anyone point me in the right direction. My 110 200 tdi won't turn over. After going through some checks Im thinking its a wiring problem (Not 100% Certain though). I get all my dash lights when I turn the ignition on but when I turn the key over, Nothing!! Battery is good, Removed the Starter today and bench tested it and the gear is kicking which I guess is good.
Does anyone know if there is anything common with them or any suggestions

If starter is turning and engaging on the bench then its a wiring or battery problem, first check the small wire from the ignition switch for power when the key is turned.

Hi Tottot,
I was thinking a wiring problem or some sort of relay or something the battery is 100%.
Is that the little wire onto the spade terminal on the starter any ideas of the voltage to be seen ?
I was thinking of looking for a new loom as this one looks shockingly bad but can't wait to have it back working again.

tried earth strap? jump lead from engine to the battery and give it a go.. then if that fails get the miltimeter out

New engine loom is £65 inc Vat from autosparks, I was looking only the other day.

The voltage on the spade terminal onto the solenoid should ideally be the voltage of your battery, so not far off 12v.

Obviously, this can only be seen as the key is turned to where the engine would usually turn over, so you will probably need a helper to turn the key while you check voltage. I just about managed it on my own, but it was a pain!
