Problem with nuts! (Shock absorber)

Hi, I have a 90 and have taken apart the front suspension, wasn't too much of an issue but one of the top nuts on the shock absorber was seized. I managed to get it off without damaging the thread so I just need to locate a new nut.

After a search online I've found I need a m12 x 1.25 (I think). Now I can find plenty of these around, but the thread is too big. After more digging I've realised I need a nut with a extra fine thread.

Does anyone know where I can find one off these on the shelf somewhere in a generic shop? Ive tried screwfix and b&q but they only have the larger thread nuts. I ideally would like to rebuild my suspension tomorrow or Monday and not have to wait 4/5 days for delivery, not to mention the £5 delivery fee from paddocks for 60p worth of nuts!

I don't have any of them unfortunately. Body and paint is my forte. I'm more at home with a spray gun than a spanner, that being said, I'm getting along well with the 90.

If I was you , I would check to see if any of the shocks have any supplier name on them, if they do, I would phone the supplier, or a distribuor and ask, to avoid spending money on stuff not needed.

If you have a local bearing suppliers / engineering supplies shop near you, then I would go there and ask for a few nuts to try.

All I had was iron man, no other details. I'll have a look at the rear shocks tomorrow that I haven't removed yet and see if they're in good enough condition to identify.

I have two small engineering works/ fabricators either side of the company I work at. Might be worth asking them if they have anything to measure mine with or if they have a selection I can have a nosey at.

If it is an imperial nut as opposed to metric (even more out of my depth here, I'm used to using a 10mm/13mm for pretty much all cars at work) am I likely to find a replacement nut easily?
