Hi all,

I've installed my A-bar on the bumper yesterday but it doesn't fit quite well. It is a 110 no Airco, so i bought the no Airco A-bar.
On the front it lines up nicely with the bumper (see pic 1). But now it pushes back the grill because of the light fittings.
It is also impossible to fit the Wipac lights to it now, because of the grill.
Since i see loads of landrovers with the same set-up, i cannot understand what is different. Can anyone help? Thanks.

I had this yesterday as well! I noticed that it was leaning back however because of the indent in the bumper where the normal bolts go... I placed two washers under the a bar and then re bolted. This cured it

When fitting lights such as the Wipac 100W units (which are a truely awful light in my experience) you have to cut some slats out of the grill. When I sold my A-bar & lights I sold the old grill with it and bought myself a nice new one.
That said, your A-bar does seem to be VERY tight against the grill so I agree that some packing out to increase the lean forward might help (I did that on mine, just used a couple of washers at the rear).

Yup as Litch said, easiest way is to just cut a couple of slats out. I will probably replace my wipacs soon with something better quality and is at least slightly water tight. They are value for money but you get what you pay for me thinks.

ok thanks guys, i think i'll try to put some washers under there and get it to lean fwd a bit more. Yeah i've read enough about the Wipac's but all after i already bought them :p
so better luck next time, the grill isn't that good anymore anywayz, zo no waste to cut some slats out. thanks!
