power steering pump help please

hello all again

my power steering pump has just failed

i have a 90 defender with 200tdi conversion
i believed i used the original 2.5 td pump when i done the conversion.

so do i replace with another 2.5td pump or can i use a 200tdi pump ?
are there any differences between the two ?

anyone got what i need, if so how much posted to n21 ?

pressure feed pipe to box ,there are numerous different types

You have to get one with the same number bolts, most defenders are four-bolt i believe. When mine went on my 1985 110 i managed to get a TD5 take off that was in good condition but like James says the pressure pipe fittings from the pump to the box are different on later ones so if u get second hand try to get the pipes that go with it, you can then cut the pipes and use a steel compression union to splice them together.
