on the new one? surely that is not acceptable for a refurb unit.
I've spoken to them, they expressed their apologies and this was a quality control issue - it's now been resolved.

The offered me two options - they'll send out a new box ready for Tuesday or they'll refund me £50 if i can file the threads myself, and tbh i just spent an hour sorting the threads out.. so no issues.

Hats off to their customer service, they held their hands up and owned the situation and were prepared to fix it. I would order from these guys again regardless of this hiccup.

Not disagreeing with you on their customer service, but that would worry me about their quality control on what you can’t see !!!

I agree on the concern but based on their customer service response if there are internal issues their reply to the warranty is likely to be good. Although annoying if needed.

My 110 is older than I am I can’t afford to pay a garage for anything on it!
We rarely pay someone for work, certainly not a steering box.
This time the clutch is getting paid for and the front ball joints got paid for on the D2 when they needed doing.
