It's broken for me too. Upload button brings up a "You do not have permission to view this page or perform this action".

I was doing a work-around where I could copy an image or capture a section of the screen, and then paste into the thread, but all browsers seem to hang when doing that now. Except if I use the "More Options" button when editing a post, and then paste images.

The upload error is there in all modes.

Try this work-around posted in the Feedback section of main forum. It's laptop only but seems to work for me.

Unfortunately this doesn't work on a tablet. Or at least not on mine. I've even gone through the nuisance of having to go to split screen to try it. :(
It's an issue that's been going on for weeks and the accies don't seem overly bothered about getting it fixed.

Correct, but if you save your “pics” to your photos file you can then use cut & paste to transfer, so CUT in photos and then PASTE in ‘ up load file’ and its nearly as quick.
Works also if your using a desktop or laptop mouse.

Ive never got on with “drag and drop” its what u get use to i expect.

Cut and paste does not allow me to put photo's in a thread. on Win10.It's a faff but I did manage to post a small image using the snip function in paint.

Afraid that doesn't work either. No cut and paste option in photos file. I don't see why 'upload file' is too difficult for the site to have. It's worked well enough for over a decade. ( At this point is reminded that we have also been asking for a few more icons for over a decade and no-one has bothered to respond, let alone update)

Just copied this from my photos in my iPad… but my error, I pasted direct to the post… u don't need to open the upload file.. so don't bother to do so. Now to see how windows 11 behaves on my desktop and laptop :)

Just the same. But after you copy paste, if you actually delete the pic in the post it stays in the bottom so can be viewed or added as a small pic.

I used that option button a few weeks ago, and it worked ok for me.
