OK, in a slightly drunken evening on eBay I bought, among other things, some giant Hella spot lamps, possibly for the front of the Range Rover. However, I can't decide whether the car looks better with or without them, so what do you lot reckon?

What ya reckon?

With or without string?

The string is optional, but happy to keep it on there if you prefer :)

i think they look a bit **** but if you specifically need them go ahead.

I thought they'd be useful if we had a bad winter as the standard headlights (even the uprated Halogens I have on there) aren't brilliant. Also, they could be useful for night driving on a trip to Morocco next year. But overall, I don't exactly need them...

Don't fancy a roof pod I must admit!

One of my old mates had some I always liked, which is what got me thinking in the first place:

I reckon they look nice on that!

They do look a little on the big side, fitted cheap 7 inch round ones to both my classics to give them that 4 headlight look wired to come on with main beam. I think they look better with than without but only if same size as headlights.

IMHO that ruins the look.

One mate replaced his lenses with clear crystal lenses from GOLF and putt xenons in there. That almost lighten the road better than my P38 with xenons too.

With upgraded lense no need for additional spotlights

I fitted amber led's behind the grill on my last car for offroading only. Looked great in the dark and discreet. Was a gimick just like spots if you don't need them. Original is best.

I'd keep them on a practical point of view which imo should come before everything else but that's just my view.

If you want to make them look better, either move them in more (closer together) or buy some lamps that are smaller than your headlamps.

Without Mike. Bit big for my liking.
I have a pair of spots built into the grill which I don't dislike, except I can't find any replacements.

I would have them slightly more together, they actually look quite period for the age of the motor, question is do you like them or not, if it was me they would definatly be on. Bet they really light up the road at night. Post a picture at dusk with them lit up should look cool.
Cheers
