**** i think ive agreed with dr evil....think id better go and lie in a dark room for a bit.
well the wife's home... so I suggested it to her... she said i'm not allowed to sell the Spitfire.
But I can buy a lightweight
Sell your current series and buy the lightweight
Pretty sure if you sell the wedding car yer wife might not be impressed
Ah, but, if I don't take the opportunity to buy the Lightweight now I might regret it later... so, i guess what I should really do, is, buy it and keep the Spitfire?
We already have a 1949 Series 1 in the family, so, i'm covered from that 'special' angle
Thing with the current series is it is a mismash, abused (but loved) lump. The lightweight would be a nice shiny for doing gentle lanes in and generally just enjoying driving...
spitfires are great little cars for great little people.
we had our MK4 fer 8 years, but it wer the mrs car.
years rolled on after selling yellow spit and we bought next door neighbours "restored" baby blue MK3.
goodye mrs thought,
hmm, I thought.
so fekin hard to get in one now, even harder to get out,
so,
memmories are worth keeping,
fekin spitfires are not "when" you are old.
love my disco tho`
easy`ish to get in,
falling out is easier.
How the hell can being told by the wife what to do be a bonus????????
:car:That's alright... i'm young
It's decided... from hear on forward, we will not sell any proper car we buy, we'll just keep them all and buy more No point regretting selling one in the future
Definately get rid of the spit and buy lots and lots of Ja....Landrovers
:car:
""That's alright... i'm young ""
In the Imortal words of Monty Python,
you lucky lucky lucky lucky barsteward...
Enjoy my friend,, as we live but the once in this world,
unless your like my mrs, jus keeps coming back... LOL....:jaw:
Oh, the baby blue MK3, only had it a few weeks,
made good money on ebay to a frenchman from Paris...
If i could I would buy a Jaguar XK120 roadster in British Racing Green. That is by far and a way my dream car.
Until then... i'll just keep buying Land Rover's!
Mate you are so spot on with the XK the prettiest car in the ...... #### it ever! :amen:
