You'd be surprised how large Disco boots are, though this is with the rear seats folded .. ;)

This is my bed (been refined a tad since) and laning kit all in, so no need for a tent .. Again, I fold the drivers seat forward, but you get the idea ..

 you definitely get some gear in there

Who know's what the measurement is from the back of the rear seat to the rear door?

When I had my disco 1 I am sure standing at the back with my legs against the bumper I couldn't touch the back seat without leaning forward quite a bit. (If that helps)

The Ply on top of the rear bed/table is 2' deep x 4' wide and it sits about 2" inside the door. The very top of the rear seats is about another 2" closer to the rear door. What you don't see is that at the load floor it's also another 6" to 8" deeper, so where the red and yellow box is in my pic there is also an ammo box and two 4"x2"x2' wooden blocks and two red collapsible triangles in front of the boxes!

Loadsa room! ;)

Your pictures have gone???

Been looking at discovery's since this afternoon [ebay] but not sure, kind of convinced the missus we needed a defender, definitely didn't want something too pretty inside as my dam dogs shake when they get in:mad:

We've been concentrating on a 300 tdi as simplest to work on so I've been ignoring 200td's and TD5's, what years was the 300 tdi used?

We did hope a 90" defender might do us but it's been pointed out a 110" csw would be better as easier for kids to get in and out, problem I seem to be seeing with these is the back doors rot out:(

Wanted a motor with not to many things/gadgets to go wrong, think defender may have less than a discovery but don't know that for a fact.

Wanted the back for the dogs but also for tools and building materials as and when needed.

Also need it to pull a 3 1/2 ton ifor williams trailer loaded with logs from out of the woods from time to time, we burn a lot of logs as it's cheaper than the heating oil.

And last of all it will be our only motor so got to look reasonably tidy for family days out [not worried about back bit]

Can't think of anything else and can't find one either:(

Back to google and cheers for all your replies guys;)
