Ooh, not seen that before!
Not sure about it ...
This one looks ok from the advert, fairly standard as far as I can see
Your not kidding about the prices jumping up, if you can hold off till summer you will save a bit
Land Rover Defender COUNTY STN WAGON 12 SEATS TDI 4dr 1993
Could be registered as a 12 but would it not need a centre seat to actually be one? Looks very tidy and less than half the miles of the dodgy looking one in the original post!

is it a gaylander or hairdressers motor :lol:

It looks sh!t, has high miles, engine bay looks poorly maintained, colour change not followed throughout, not a CSW, only two doors so the rear seats may not be on the v5 and if not... Well you know the rest!
the black barstid looks like it lives in a tough area,
as 8foot walls wiv razor wire ontop looks real,
err, ****e place to live.....
no wonder theres a safe box in the back to hide from everyone....
+1, I know which one I'd be looking at if it were me
Black one is probably nicked anorl Donny has a bad rep for nicked motors.
Educate me please
This ones older than I wanted, a few more miles than I'd have liked and looks to have had some welding on the chassis I think but what else can you see from the pic's supplied?

I'm not after running this man's car down just learning what to look for, what looks right and what to steer clear of.
Cheers all

19J engine.....not the most refined
Unless you want an old school tratter look for a tdi
A chassis being welded is fairly expected at this age, it's more down to how well it has been welded and looked after. Difficult to say from the pics but I would say its worth a look, go over the chassis with a screw driver tapping it to find anyone corrosion or body filler being used to hide holes. If I was you I would widen my search and be willing to travel a good few hundred miles to look at some good ones
Heh, didn't see it was from here .. think I know where it is as well, recognise the green gates.
I wouldn't give anyone 4 £1 coins for a fiver round there .. not worth the paper they're printed on!
if youve got to spend money on the house and need a family friendly car you might be better looking at 300tdi discoveries ...5 door 7 seat and a bit more padding and sound proofing ..mechanically pretty much the same as a 110 but .. half the price of a 110csw...just look for rust in the floor and inner wings
might be worth trailing round a few 4x4 independant dealers to see the range of vehicles available
Believe me you can get two dogs bigger than that into the boot quite comfortably
