Welcome to lz, Ben. :)

Do you really need to lift it? There are many ways to improve the off road capability of a Disco.
And lifting always has disadvantages, as well as advantages.
And a standard Disco is very capable in the right hands anyway.

Hi thabks for reply and True I only keeping my options open and wounded how much work it is to go bigger than 2" ppl where saying its a lot of money to go bigger I am thinking about cutting my arches so I can get bigger wheels

Read the thread. It covers why bigger wheels aren't always the best option as well! :)

7.50R16 or similar, 9.00R16 or similar, those are the favoured tyre options for most, except those wishing to drive in challenge or very extreme modified competitions.

BTW, those sizes are for a Ninety, or a Defender 90. Adjust to allow for the fact yours is a Disco. Basic principle is, don't go too far from standard, just a bit more height on the tyre. ;) :)

I have got 235/85/16 AT on now but was thinking of getting some 265 75 16

I wouldnt, those are good size on a Disco, but try the others if you want. Extra width isn't always helpful. Sometimes it means you cant get through gaps or round corners. Extra height on the tyre is what you want.

OP:- do a search on here - this topic has been done to death. My own opinion of lifts is very low, and the same applies in respect of arch mods - and you will need to inform your insurance company of any variation from standard, which is going to put the price up, sometimes quite a lot. Both our D1's have listed mods ( NOT lifts !!), and this applies.

The on road manners of a lifted disco might take some getting used to anorl - be careful out there.... and Good luck with it :)
