Does anyone here have 1st hand experience of owning a Pinzgauer? Looking for some general advice.
Any idea where he abandoned it? i could use it for spares ;-)No, a mate had one and was turning it into an overland expedition camper but seems to have abandoned it. I'd like one but would prefer it's little brother, the haflinger.
At least I know there is more than one in the country.... Was beginning to wonder
I did a search and nothing came up. Do you remember the thread?Don't know how many but there are a few about. They were discussed on here only the other week.

That's very interesting. Mine drives like an older Defender.... Surprisingly civilisedi took one for a test drive, very loud and noisy, and pretty poor handling on the road. Having looked at their capabilities, they are amazing off road - i suppose it depends what you want. I have visions of overlanding - but the thought of hours upon hours driving it put me right off. You have to use roads to get places too! I would rather a defender any day.
Didn't know you could do that. I've been told there are a lot more but I've been struggling to find a single owner. How accurate is this I wonder?

No, sorry.I did a search and nothing came up. Do you remember the thread?
Was just look into that, surely that can't be right, can it?
I also have a 101 diesel and I would say the same about that. The Pinz is both much quieter and cooler. It is a little noisier than an old defender but there is not a lot in it. From an on road perspective I don't like motorway driving because of the low gearing but it's totally fine everywhere else.I drove a petrol ambulance one. It was awesome, but not what i wanted! To me the defender is fine, but the heat and noise from it was something else
I've been told there are about 150. There was one 2nd generation 6x6 at the Overland showNo, sorry.
