Was that yours Mark?

Yes, mate. Had it from 2008-2010.

To be fair, I loved it and it proved to be far more capable off road than you'd ever dream of crediting it for.

I brought it just after I was bitten by the Landy Bug in 2007, which came and was caused by a brief spell of ownership of this:

Failing: :D
FL1-1.jpg

After doing a few laning and P&P trips in this new found hobby, it got to a point where I couldn't possibly justify owning something as expensive as the FL2 and using it for such things, so went for the last D1 which was not long after we did that Northants laning trip in 2010 (or 2011?)

Winning! and redemption... :D

My life has never been the same since. Best hobby ever.

I think Northants was 2010...

Justification for me to lane a D3 if you laned a new F2 ;) (wonder if Nicole will see it that way?!)

We won't mention the F1 period...

i would have a good pic on my disco in a ditch if i didnt have such a crapy phone lol.
so if anyone off here was out with me on the 27 round robin hoods bay and got a good pic feel free to put it on.

Top picture is at robin hoods bay and the rest from tong. Pics 3 and 4 resulted in needing a bottom end rebuild then my "mechanic" friend failed to put the cambelt idler pulley on properly resulting in the bent pushrods

bit deep there. have you fixed your snorkel since?

Snorkel was sealed but was a tad deeper than I first thought. Annoying thing was i got it back out and went for another go at it. Was a loose breather pipe that let the side down in the end

Absolute bugger! That hole is just impossible at tong!

Regards pushrods, cam belt partially went on my dads 300 bu it still ran, so rebelted it and carried on. Checked valve clearance 6 months later to find that it had actually bent 6 pushrods which gave some valve clearances at around half an inch.

I have no idea how it was still running so well that we didn't notice!

Yeah I never realised how bad it was till I started getting wet feet. Didn't seem to be any sort of a bottom to it.
The belt destroyed itself on mine so went with a bang takin the top end with it. Fortunately I have a garage full of spares, seems to be necessary when owning a landy
