Hi, sorry if I have put this in the wrong place
Is there any thing/way/app that could help stop having to put the pin in every time I get in the car, for bluetooth pairing on android phone

Range Rover Sport 2007

I have tried to search the forums for an answer

Carol :)

Is it really that much of a hardship?
Try your owners manual?

Hi Carole,

you need to check on the version of the module installed. My L322 module doesn't need to be paired each time. but your module maybe needing an update to work with newer phones or your module

there's advice here http://www.bluetoothexchange.co.uk/

Vehicles
  • Land Rover Discovery 3
  • Land Rover Sport
  • Land Rover Range Rover (full fat)
Models 2004/2005 onwards.

These should have either the touch screen or 6 disk head unit or both and use the MOST (fibre optic) system.

What Does It Do?
It will cure the issue of having to put in the pairing code (2121) every time you enter the car.
It will also display the contacts from your phone on the touch screen (FFRR) or the radio on the Discovery/Sport.

:Note: I have no connection to the site or service. some Full Fat owners have been very happy with the service

Why do people feel the need to be in constant touch with everybody else 24/7. Is it a paranoyer about missing out on summat? In the old days if you needed to call someone, you would stop at a phone box.

Modern life unfortunately. I would much rather be listening to the tuneful V8 exhaust note with the added hint of supercharger on my route to customer site work each week, however I have two conference calls during the drive resulting in the need for Bluetooth connectivity in the RR.

I spend practically all the driving with the drivers window open s I can hear the engine and drown out passengers:D....
And actually, with the windows up and the phone on it's dashboard perch, I can hear the calls on the phones loud speaker if needs be.

That's up to the usual standard. 5 responses: 4 discussing whether the question was worth pursuing or valid or off on a tangent and one response with an answer. 20% hit rate!

and one whinge telling the OP to RTFM (which the problem faced isn't in the owners manual)
