Evening all,

I recently replaced the stereo in my 1999 Discovery TD5 GS ( it was a crappy aftermarket unit) with a Sony one. I'm looking to interface the steering wheel volume control, if it actually works that is. Ive found what may be the correct item to do this but it depends on what head unit came as standard, Alpine or Phillips?? I'm sure somebody might have came across this before or knows how i can determine the answer?
Thanks in advance.

Mine (99 TD5, T Reg) is an Alpine. I think there were different ones at the same time, mine is the Hi Line type with the Harman Kardon branded speakers, amplifier under the passenger seat.

I dont have the HK speakers or amp ( unfortunately), nor a CD changer. Maybe im Phillips then?
