Stanage Edge and Roych Clough are ace lets hope they stay that way!
they do most damage imo, by driving round cars instead of backing off n waitin 5 mins. easier to tun them around than a landy
It's got a TRO on it
hi here is pic off my memory map of chapel gateDefinitely not a bridleway it does have vehicular rights
Chapel gate . probly will be classed as bridleway soon.the bobble brigade got that one.well see what happensi in 12 months when tro is up
Well I have never come across a well mannered biker, on the lanes. One occasion whilst 3 of us were going down bamford clough, 3 came flying up. I stopped where I thought there'd be plenty of room to get round, yet they carried on towards me. One went up the banking round me, n nearly fell on my car, the 2nd nearly killed himself on the wall, then decided to go down with the 3rd. Then there was chapel gate before the tro, on 2 occasions groups came flying up the side, where people were walking including my daughter in a pram, without slowing. I wouldn't class that as ill informed... They just seem to tear round at reckless speeds on narrow tracks, seemingly with no regard for others. Yes, I know 4x4 drivers who are, frankly, cocks. N i tell them they are. Have u ever been on the track by pindale quarry near castleton?I do both 4x4 and bikes on the lanes, and yes there is arseholes in both camps but the majority are law abiding and stick to the lanes. Bikes go around because, they can, simply as that and why should they wait, the reason we have voluntary one way systems on the lanes now is because 2 4x4 usually can't pass each other on the lanes. As for they do most damage, well your very ill informed, the reason why lanes like Washgates,Hague Farm,Taxall Ford and Chapel Gate are closed is because of 4x4 going off-piste end off. Unless both camps start behaving you'll get more TRO's and downgraded lanes. So the next time you see someone doing something they shouldn't do on the lanes give them a ****ing simple as that. At the end of the day the lanes are there for everyone to enjoy and not abuse because that only makes it easier for the bobble hat bridgade to close them down.
